Today’s Guitar Lessons Recommendation

Today we’re looking at the field of beginner guitar lessons on youtube and I’ve found a set of them which go together very well. They are all from the same guitar lessons channel so with that one link you’ll be able to find and go through them all without too much problem.

Just make sure that you have already taken the time to master your basic chord changes and beginner strums as you really need to have accomplished that much before you’ll be ready to tackle these ones. Guitar lessons with melodies are not for absolute beginners and even though it makes the songs sound so much more believable and impressive to listen to it’s important not to try them before you’re ready. This is especially true for Spanish guitar lessons which require some training in fingerstyle guitar technique.

With all that said let’s get into the actual lessons and see what’s what! Guitar Lessons – Bob Dylan

Knowing the right stuff to grind with is also important. That is why I am telling you right now

Bending the Strings – The Technique

It’s pretty much a simple logic if you ask me. If you want to master the guitar, learn the techniques. That’s right, you heard it. It is pretty much like Kung – Fu. If you want to be a master of Kung – fu, you got to learn and master some techniques, like the flying sushi style or something like that. So to start with, you could try some of the basic techniques available for guitar kind. The bend technique is pretty common. Bending the string to reach a certain note instead of reaped plucking. Pretty convenient and adds color to the note. Try it.

Bending the Strings – Conclusion

Mastering the guitar is a giant step to personality development. Arts and music are necessary assets; a treasure which you could never lose as long as you’re alive and your sense are intact. So work hard, practice even harder. That is the only way you can achieve legendary status. There is no other difference between you and Jimi Hendrix except for the effort that he gives off. Other than that, there is no difference. He’s bending the strings just like you.

How to age parts of the guitar

To get that uber – vintage look that everybody wants, you need to age the looks of the guitar. you could start by knowing how to age the hardware. This is much easier than aging the wood and other parts. So how to do this? First, you must have the following:

-          Muriatic acid

-          Plastic container with a lid

-          Ventilation

-          Mask

-          Rubber gloves

Be careful when you do this, muriatic acid is harmful as hell.

  1. First, remove the tuners and the bridge of the guitar from it. Remove all moving parts, especially screws. You must aged it separately or else risk molding it together permanently.
  2. Place them individually on the muriatic acid on the plastic container.
  3. Poke holes on the lid to allow air to go out.
  4. Cover the container with plastic to keep the vapors from going out. The more vapor, the faster it ages.
  5. Keep watch of the process. the usual duration is 2 days on you will see results. When you feel that it aged enough already, remove them from the acid. Wear gloves and mask.
  6. Rinse and dry the parts or allow it to dry under the sun. re place your parts when it is dry and you will have hardware that would look like it was used years ago.

Guitar War Fare

Get your gears ready, your digital ready and whip out the sickest guitar solo or piece that you could execute, because it is time for WAR!

Anyway, I am talking about the new website from UK called Guitar Warfare which gathers all sorts of guitar players into one site to do battle. This is the first and the only website that features guitar battles and live voting to see who the better axe man is. There are also league tables for different skill categories that give the competition a twist of fun and would definite encourage learning. this would be the first time that the internet gave us guitar players a place in which there are only other guitar players, where you could also customize your page profile and where you could upload your videos to have fun, enjoying real time league tables.

Guitar warfare was created because of the growing number of guitar videos on YouTube and other guitar sites that receives lousy comments and stuff. Now, you can stop moaning about how good you are and actually expose your talent to other guitar players from all over the world and prove them how good you are. So, for all the guitarists who are about to rock, I salute you!

Discomfort

Sometimes when we play the guitar, there are certain parts that we consider difficult, and what we usually do is to avoid these “difficult” parts. Although it is an effective excuse not to make mistakes, this would actually halt your progress. Avoiding difficult spots in your guitar playing will not help you improve it. The only way to deal with this is to confront it. The more you confront it, the more you would get used to it. Besides, it is all about getting used to it. Want to memorize the scales? Get used to it. Give it a run every day until you get used to it. That is the most effective way of memorizing things, doing it over and over again until it becomes part of your system. Do you sometimes get surprised when you actually know the lyrics to an old song? That is because you have heard it over and over for a long time, maybe in your childhood. That pretty much works with guitar playing as well. That is why if you do routines, do it over and over again, you will get used to it, making it part of your system and eventually, you can do it effortlessly.

How to Boost your Guitar Playing

That is possible but only if you are willing to do a lot of things for it. The only way that you could achieve that status is to practice. There is no other way to get there but to practice hard. And practicing hard rather needs much effort. Yes, practicing hard means you should really put your back into it. If you practice half – heartedly, tendency is, you would only learn a little. A good attitude towards practice is really effective. It allows you to learn more rather than just relaxing and practicing only when you want to. That is not a good attitude.

When you fixed all these things and have configured your mind into practicing, the next challenge is to find good lessons. Not all lessons are great, not all lessons are effective in bringing the best out of you. So you better research for a good source of lesson that would really help you in your guitar playing career.

Other Chords That You Could Use For Metal

Metal guitar playing has a rather different type of method compared to pop or rock or even blues. Guitars, the lead guitar and the rhythm must have a thick tone; the thickness of the texture of your guitar tone can only be achieved through proper use of chords. The thing with chords is, the more notes that you have in a note, the rougher it sounds with a large amount of distortion to it. And that is not good for metal people. Metal require a solid grinding distortion and most of the time, it only works with power chords. However, it will never hurt to experiment a little on this. There other chords that you could experiment with. Like for example, the triad chords, a combination of three notes. Common triad chords are G Major, C Major, G Minor and A Minor. These are the basic, and you are pretty familiar with these. Using these on metal music might be disastrous but with the right approach, you could create epic riffs. It’s all about when and where you would sneak it in. for example, you have this heavy power chord based riff, then try sneaking a triad chord briefly, it would sound great.
